I returned from Portland just under a week ago. I think I'm still trying to get my body back on schedule, but it was a wonderful trip. There's something about that city that just makes you feel happy and free. I hadn't been to Portland since November 2009 and I began my training in December so I found on this trip that I had a greater appreciation for the runners and bike commuters. Portland is a very active and outdoorsy city. I fall more in love with this city every time I'm there. I took a couple of pictures of the Portland marathon starting point but we didn't drive the marathon path or anything because we had other things to do. Our time was limited on this trip but I think we made the most of it. I already miss you greatly Jimmy, Amanda and Jonathan. I hope to be back to see you very soon and I can't wait to have your faces cheering me on in October.
Oh and I did get in one training run while I was there but I only ran 5 instead of 6 because the Portland hills kicked my butt.
